| Dress:c/o Chicwish Shoes: Soludos Bag: c/o The Daily Edited Sunglasses: c/o RAEN Last Fall My family took a trip upstate to St. Augustine for my Mom's birthday. Before the trip I hadn't spent much time up there. I was so blown away by the charm, history and beauty of St. Augustine. These beautiful Spanish oak trees lined the streets near the famous Fountain of Youth and couldn't resist the photos. Across the street was the cutest coffee shop if you are ever planning a trip there. Chase couldn't make the trip since he was working but I would love to go back with him one day for a romantic getaway. On another note I can't wait for Summer this year. I'm looking forward to some getaways and lots of celebrations. Plus I'm a sucker for a good brezzy Summer dress like the one I'm wearing. Dresses are basically my uniform during Summer. |

WHAT I'M WEARING Cardigan:c/o chicwish//top:H&M//Jeans:JBrand//Boots:(old)ON SALE!! Less than $150 VERY similar here //sunglasses:similar here//Bag:(vintage) bought on the vestiare collective (similar here) Valentine's day is around the corner and I always love to get into the festive mood for any holiday which means lots of pinks and reds, this time of the year. I wanted to show you an everyday outfit where you can incorporate a little color with neutral pieces. That pop of pink will be great for a casual Valentine's day or even take you into Spring. Besides the color, the cardigan I'm wearing is my absolute favorite at the moment. I love adding a third piece to my outfit to finish off a look and this cardigan gives something extra with the pom-poms. I also have it in beige but it comes in several colors and I'm telling myself I don't need another one. I highly recommend it, not just because its cute but just as cozy. My mom tried mine on and loved it as well. On another note, I wanted to mention my jeans because they are the best white denim I've ever owned. I love wearing white throughout the year but finding a good pair of white jeans that wouldn't be sheer is difficult. These jeans are a bit more than I would normally pay for jeans but I realize sometimes you need to invest on things you'll wear often. As I mentioned above, white jeans can usually mean- sheer jeans but these are nice and opaque. I hope you have a fantastic weekend, thanks for stopping by Joan |

| Take this dress I'm wearing as an example. It is absolutely beautiful, and if it wasn't for it being sleeveless it would be a modest dress in my opinion. I learned to love layering pieces together and not see it as a burden, but simply as a fashion choice. For this dress I wanted to keep its feminine design by giving it a preppy twist and added a collared blouse. This is just one example of what can be done. Another trick of mine is to add a skin tone t-shirt (preferably) tight fitting underneath anything sheer. You will be modest but still keeping the integrity of the design. |
