Happy Weekend,

Just sharing this easy and simple look with you guys. I wanted to chat about accessories because lately that is something I am gravitating towards. Especially when it comes to a simple one piece outfit like a one colored dress. Adding accessories to an outfit can really elevate a look from plain and dull. I added a leopard belt to the dress not just as a detail piece but it also gave me shape since the dress is very loose.
My favorite accessory is definitely a hat and you'll usually catch me wearing one with just about every outfit, ALL year long. I have to say it is my safe zone and I find a lot of my outfits to be incomplete without one. I've talked to several women who feel like hats aren't for them, for different reasons. Perhaps you don't think it suits you or you just feel uncomfortable but I just think its about finding the right one for you. I probably feel the complete opposite, I think my head is a weird shape so a hat gives me that extra confidence. A hat can really change an outfit, so try it out and let me know how you feel about it.

Happy October!

I live for Fall and everything to do with it especially the clothes. This outfit will definitely be in my cycle for my wardrobe this season. Its all basic stables you most likely already have in your closet right now. A cozy cable knit turtleneck sweater, dark skinny jeans plus a pair of boots and you're set. Its nothing to overpowering for the start of the season since honestly its not very cold here (yet). The weather here in Edinburgh is nothing short of being perfect.

On Saturday we walked to a part of Edinburgh called Leith which is right next the water. We ended up catching a movie-Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (that's a mouth full) we mostly just wanted to get a feel for the theater situation here and I'm glad we did because there are some differences from the states. Like did you know movie prices differ depending on the films popularity? I sure didn't! Anyways I liked that particular area because its lined with a ton of restaurants and cobble stone streets, not the easiest when walking with heels (although that most likely won't stop me from wearing these boots).

On Sunday we watched The LDS Semi-annual Conference from Saturday and Sunday sessions since were seven hours behind Utah time zone it was hard to watch it all live.

Today was a gorgeous day, we toke our usual Sunday walk but it felt different. I looked above and didn't see a cloud in the sky and the sun was in full force. We walked down to Princes Street park and discovered a part of the park we hadn't checked out yet. Its directly below the Edinburgh castle which is just impressive to see and like I mentioned it was the perfect day so a lot of people were out and about having picnics and soaking up some sun. I think it hit me while laying on the grass looking across to my husband that we have been living in Scotland for a whole month now and it still blows my mind how life can just change and in the best way. I am living my wildest dreams with my dream man in a dreamy city. Life is just very good my friends

What I'm Wearing

That's what I did since they are very popular, I ordered my pair through the big kid selection. If you didn't know just subtract 2, so I'm a size 7 in women and a size 5 for big kids. Its a also a good tip in saving some money.

Living in a walking city you quickly learn comfortable shoes are high on your priority. We've walked up and down this town and by the end of each day I can hear my feet begging me for a break. My outfit very much reflects the street fashion I've seen around the city. Most women are very chic and really on trend and always have sneakers or loafers instead of heels (this is what I call a smart woman). I'm so use to pairing my outfits with either a sandal or boot and have never gravitated towards sneakers as a top choice. I think its because my schools always enforced uniform and we weren't really allowed to wear much more than sneakers and I believe that feeling resonated with me. Anyways, I'm really digging this casual yet chic vibe the city is giving off. I am someone who gets inspired by others and I'm just enjoying the change.
